INDO and INDON

Been 6 years in Malaysia, living in Kuala Lumpur,
work and study in several company and university
jump here and there like a grasshopper.

Many people keep asking me, why I choose Malaysia not Indonesia.
Why I love Malaysia too much, not my own country.
Why I happily stand my foot in a land who loves call our people "INDON"

oh well,
haha.. I just dont understand why the Indonesia become way too sensitive when they heard Malaysia call them as "Indon"

when I asked the Malaysian, what is their intention to call us Indon.
They just answer, there is no intention. We used to shorten everything like
JB => Johor Bahru, KL=> Kuala Lumpur, Indon=> Indonesia,
Malay => Melayu

Indonesian love to shorten their call as "INDO"
and Malaysian, make the cut with additional "N"

AND WE MAKE IT SUCH A BIG THING....
OMG

I believe not all Indonesian like that, some of them are just don't care or don't even think what is that.
And too busy work and try to make money to pay the kid's school.

Some people are just have too much time to talk and to hate,
for something they don't even know what is that...

(And I have so much time to wrote about it... ha ha )

Nice statement.!!!It used to be a good relations between Indonesia and Malaysia..but certain quarters had their personal agenda that worsen the relationships..it's too bad. I used to travel a lot to Indonesia and my grandfather and great..great grandfather was from Jawa. See that's a connections somehow. If indonesian are hurt to be called Indon..then Malaysian are also hurt to be called MALING...coz we believe we are not and most of the things that we have in common with Indonesian were brought in by our ancestor !!!that is something that we tend to forget. The moral of the story here...why gaduh...gaduh...we need each other.so just pray for the best!!!

i agree with u kelley,
sometimes people hate each other for a reason which somehow doesnt exist or actually some of them exegarate too much on small things that can be solved in diplomatic way.
and some poeople love talking on something they dont know.
some of my friend ask..why i love to have weekend gateway to Indonesia? Poor country, macet, dirty, poeple ask for money, food everywhere and dont u afraid to travel there?

so i said..." have u been to Indonesia??? No rite. Go and see. If you go there, u will not easily lable them as what u think. they have nice food from every part of Indonesia, they have nice beach same like we have here. They have so many nice things/place to visit,to see as Indonesia is big country, have more than 200 millions population,. I've been to many part of Indonesia and enjoy it so much (err..last year i went to Indonesia 7 times, Bandung alone 4 times..hahahah). I enjoy it very much. we are similar, bersaudara. we cant compare Malaysia and Indonesia, we only about 28 millions people, Indonesia more 200 miiilions of course the problem and senario in some matter is different. The political situation also different. But have so many similarity than we could share, food, budaya, the people, etc.ANd Indonesia is one of my fav country to visit. Been to Jogja, surabaya, makasar, bali etc, sometimes i could feel that indonesia is full of history and the people are more patriotic (i've been to muzium pengkhianatan PKI in Jakarta). I talked to my friend who always skepticals about indonesia, i said... go to jakarta, u will not say Indonesia is poor country ok.They have many things that we dont have here. some people are lazy to read and never go out from their comfort zone. so they dont what happen around them, what happen in neighbouring country. Travel make me thinking in different angle, different perspective and value relationship among people living around us. I travel to Indonesia for..err..i lost count, but had wonderful time, enjoy their food, see different things, mingle with the people.and Alhamdulilah never ecperienced any bad things. haa..panjangnya comment i. hehhee...btw which part of Indonesia are u coming from Kelly? I plan to go to Jogja again. :)
