Simple Chicken Briyani

Using rice cooker :D
And it turn perfectly yummy

Briyani (for me) is consider quite expensive dish in Indian restaurant. Long grain Bhasmati rice cooked in lot lot lot of fresh and dry herbs, mix with butter, and chicken/lamb/fish.

There are lot of effort in cooking briyani include cook all the herbs and meat separately before finishing them off.

But I learn how to cook it simple in cheating way (and still delish) :D

Ingredients:

1 cup bhasmati rice
1/2 chicken, cut into 4-6 pcs
Coriander leaves, mint leaves.
1 full table spoon briyani powder

2 tablespoon yoghurt
2 cup water

2 yellow onion slices
4 garlic slices
3 green chili

5 cloves
2 cardamom
1/2 tsp cumin
2 tbs cooking oil

How To:
Heat up oil, add in clove-cardamom-cumin until fragant. Add in chili, onion, garlic. Stir and keep cook until onion soft.

Add in briyani powder, 1/2 cup water, chicken. Bit of salt.
Leave till boil.
Add in yoghurt. Stir well to break the yoghurt lump.
Leave until to reduce the liquid.

Pour the chicken mix, remaining water, rice into rice cooker. Stir evently.
Click on "cook" mode.
Once the cooking process done, fluff the rice to avoid crust in the bottom.

Spread coriander and mint leaves.

Enjoy Briyani with
- Chutney ( i bought chutney in the jar)
- Dhal (store bought too)
- yoghurt+cucumber+onion
