Today's Lunch Box: Fried Spaghetti with sausages

Today we plan to play and lunch in the playground.

I made a very simple lunch for both myself and my 15 Months Baby. Basically she ate whatever we eat, except her portion usually less salt, no sugar, and no spicy.

Spaghetti Goreng is today option,
We were plan to make fried noodle, but we don't have any. We use pasta instead :P

Ingredients:
Dry spaghetti, boil as per direction (7-8 min)
Frozen peas, blanched couple second in boiling water.
1 egg

Olive oil
Salt, pepper (bisa dihilangkan)
Garlic

=> Heat up cooking oil / olive oil, sauteed garlic until almost crispy.
=> Add in noodle, salt, pepper, Quickly mix and stir.
=> Add in beaten egg and peas.
=> Ready to serve :)

untuk cemilan, saya tambahkan brokoli kukus, kacang panjang kukus dan apel.

Lazy Egg Sandwich

Makanan di kala malas melanda

You must be have "those kind of day" too I bet.
When we totally got no mood and energy even to slices an onion and turn the stove on.
The only way I did at this period are:

1. Microwaved jarred baby food (which Marcella never really like, she will spray the food all over the floor. I have to clean and mop, and make a new fresh baby food for her *with lot of veggie please mom, don't forget my sawi)

2. Dah alang buka dapur masak bubur untuk anak, kita goreng telur sekali.

Susun sekali, potong diagonal. amik gambar cun-cun pakai iPhone.

Look yummy aint they?
ahahahahah... kena tipu la korang...

Homemade Tacos

Taco is an Texmex food and always be one of my favorite.
**hi hi, apa food yang kau tak favorit kakak oi....

Taco is quite easy to make and the content is flexible according to my fridge (and my wallet of course) :D
Taco also quite handy to pack for lunch-on-the-go, which save me lot of $$$ and my waits size compared to eating out daily
The key ingredient to make a nice Taco are:

- Tortilla (of course)
- Avocado
- Sour cream (I use Yoghurt, just because can't be bother to open new container of sour cream)
- Lime Juice
- Coriander
As long our fridge has them, we are good to wrap anything we want.

Here is the simplest recipe of Beef Tacos

Beef Tacos:
100 Gram Beef
1/2 tsp Cumin
salt, pepper to taste
1 tbs sugar
1/2 tsp ground Black Pepper
1 tsp Cayenne Pepper Powder
2 cloves Garlic, crushed
*marinated the beef with the mix and leave at least 1 hour (one night works better)

4 Tortilla Bread
1 Bag Mixed Salad
2 Tbs Sour cream
2 Tbs Grated Cheddar Cheese
Cherry Tomato
Red Bell Pepper, thinly sliced

Heat the skillet, and add 2 tsb cooking oil..
Stir fried the meat until done.
Heat up the bread on flat pan for 1 minute, arrange the ingredients.
Fold nicely and served warm.

(I used the leftover, wrap in tortilla and wrap again tightly in tin foil and stay nicely in my hand bag :)

Chicken Parmigiana

It seems become a habit when we saw nice ripen tomatoes on sale.

Yes...
Tomato on sales
(Most women most be craze when they saw shoes or clothes on sales, but I am more excited to see yummy delicious fresh red tomato)

We make simple tomato sauce (find the proper recipe in Internet) or follow our super simple ingredients.

Use some of them to make a nice bolognese, arabiatta, chili, bean soup, pizza sauce, parmigiana, or just freeze them for weekdays lazy dinner

Tomato sauces:
Bunch of ripen tomato, soak in boiling water, peel.
Remove the seeds, chop nicely.

Fresh thyme, oregano, and Rosemary. Chopped.

Teaspoon of sugar.
2 big onion, 5 cloves garlic. Minced all.

Heat up pan, add 2 tbs olive oil. Sauté garlic and onion till soft. Add in fresh herbs, tomato, salt, bit sugar.
Cook till all tender.

====>>>>>>> Chicken Parmigiana
Boil 3 liter water + 1 tsp salt
After boiling, add in 1/4 pack pasta of your Favourite.
Cook follow the direction. Drain, and mix with couple ladle of sauce.

I used store bought breaded chicken breast. Pan fried in butter+olive oil.

Top the chicken breast with cheese, and cover with one ladle of tomato sauce.

Put in the oven to continue cooking.

Top with basil leaves,
And bake again for 5 min to wilted the leaves.

Served hot

Yummy dinner for two

Note:
Please find the proper recipe in Internet, mine was a bit out of order.

Heheh
Sorry :)

Breakfast at Plan b: Getting Worse

It's been a while since the last time we had breakfast here after Plan B always says "Not Available" to any food we wants.

Once we sat, we want big breakfast, but they said: hash brown is finished
the next morning they said : no mushroom today
Maybe next they will say; we have anything but coffee or sugar

but after no idea about what we going to eat

But today we will give a try, who knows they have something we want to eat

It was still early, and the place still quiet.

I got my coffee nice piccolo latte (RM 8++)
And Mr Got his Long black (RM 8++)

The food here is getting worse
The breads are barely toasted
The eggs turn cold
And the mushroom was very, very raw

I am not sure what's gone wrong with the restaurant..

Easy Chicken Tacos

Wonder what to do with all the leftover..?

If you got plenty left over from the last night party and bored about making sandwiches or soup, tacos are some of the options.

I got plenty chicken and salads from the Christmas lunch

There is no special recipe in making tacos but a nice Taco sauce and fresh salsa are the key ingredient. Make sure the tortilla warmed before serving too :)
No real recipe, just simply arrange and ready to go..

Christmas Lunch 2013

Anyone stuck in Kuala Lumpur like us...??
yeah, a lot of us :)

Pity me, I can't travel anywhere because I have an exam on 28th Dec
Pity Rita, she couldn't balik kampong  cos MAS canceled her ticket and sell it to someone else...
BOO...!

Another girl stranded is Syaz, she has to stay in KL cos of her thesis...

We decide to gather and had some lunch together..

Simple roasted chicken and salad..
Meant to be a turkey, but way too big for three of us

*2 kg chicken is enough..!
and I made the easiest ever

Roasted Chicken :
1 big chicken (about 2kg)

olive oil
salt, pepper
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 stalks fresh rosemary (dry mix herbs will do too, like McCormick)
1/4 lemon

Clean and pat dry chicken, remove the excess fat (especially in bottom part)
Mix all the ingredients, and rub all over the chicken.
Be generous with the amount of black pepper.
Roasted on 170'C, for 2 hours.

Mean time I made boiled potato and simple salad.
yes, very simple.. (Way too simple)

Spinach mix salad
1 cup spinach leaves
1/2 carrot, slices like matches
1 tomato, chopped
1/2 cucumber, chopped

Mix all the ingredients, sprinkle a bit of salt, pepper, and squeeze bit lemon.
That's it.. :)

In the afternoon we continue the session with "teh tarik" with Syaz and her officemate.

Merry Christmas to all Christian friends,
Happy Holiday Everyone...

Hope you have a good day off

Healthy...?!?!?!

Dreaming of weight loss..
Slim..
Lean..
*anything you name it

Vietnamese Salad - pack of hamster food, Rabbit Food - and Sugar glider's
Been two days I forced myself to eat something like this

When I drool around watching this normal-human-food

Green Curry Chicken and Fried Egg

Really tried hard to tell myself that I had enough of those good food
and need to give my stomach a break a bit

at least for one week

Instead of feeling healthy  and proud of myself,
I keep dreaming about my old love
Warm-cheesy-melt Sheperd pie...

calming, shooting and relieving, Thai massage => no need
sleeping pills => no need.. cos I will sleep well after a good meal

or a big portion of rice, curry, mutton masala, papadum and cucumber raita spread on a very wide of banana leaf at least

There won't be a war in Syria if their people eat good food like this everyday

Probably the whole country tried to change their eating habits like me...
involved a lot of moodie day at home and office too for sure..

totally not easy lah.....

Red Bean Bag Cafe

Hari Raya Day-3

Still can't be bothered with cooking or even make a coffee...
On this long weekend holiday, I feel way too tired to do anything (or lazy)

We were planning to have some coffee and breakfast in the Journal (Plan B) Publika,
The place we used to have weekend brunch anyway.
But once we went there the waiter telling us that they don't have such stuff we want to eat.
No hash brown on hash brown set, and no eggs for scramble eggs.
We just leave...

No Social, No Estilo, No Mamak..
No chicken rice... We decide to give a try Red Bean Bag.
It's located near to Publika Square above Dr. Coffee (well, more to next to Mr's office)

Some of the menu offered,
It's a bit expensive compared to Plan B

Dish 1 : Super Awesome Fry Up
            RM 26++
Kind of 2 cheap chicken sausage (Ramli, or Nutriplus) , Turkey Ham, Baked Bean,
Poached Egg, Hash Brown, Mushroom and toast

Dish 2:  Baked Egg
Eggs baked on top of 3 types sausages. Covered with melting cheese and served with toast.

We were lucky we came a bit early, and we get our table without waiting too long.
But later on, while we enjoy our food..
More and more people coming and queue to have brunch here...

QUEUE FOR FOOD.....???

crowd queuing for food

Yes, they are queuing to get brunch from Red Bean.
I am not really sure what makes them special because the food are just so-so
Nothing really incredible. But I guess people have their own prefer and willingly to wait more than 1 hour for makan.
