Early Year Education at Home

Pendek kata, homeschooling lah ya :-)

Early years childhood education (EYCE)

Treasures Hunt

We went to the park again today for play and learn.

I secretly prepared activities just so they don't just too dependent on what I'm telling them to do so otherwise we just can't think.

After tired of swinging, climbing and cycling. I pulled out the paper I've made last night.

I just made simple map of the park and asked the kids to circle the number of the object they've been found.

Kids divide into two groups and they just too busy trying to solve the "mystery code" around the paper.

Overall it was successful activities. The kids get so excited and couldn't stop talked about it.

Marcella's 2nd Birthday

My little Bunny turn two last week and (like usual we don't have any exciting plan about it)

Thanks to her Aunt, who insisted a trip to celebrate and to have something to remember.

Having 24 Months Old is a new things for me. She has lot of new skills which often amaze me.
She is now able to sit still and focus on something interest her (not gadget or device, I'm talking about something else).

1. Our friendship become much better, she seems understand our conversation better.
2. Learning about empathy toward other feeling better. She understand hurt, pity, sympathy better.
3. Hands on learning on daily chores and quite useful for me.

4. Still no sign of scissors and knife cutting skills (it will be much better in couple weeks).

Ice cream is her fave thing (one particular brand which made from coconut milk with purple yam flaavour)
Ais Potong Satu Malaysia

We drove to Cherating for one night stay because she has her appointment on Monday.
We stop at Telok Cempedak Beach, my all time favorite place to spend my weekend.

Lunch at Mee Tarik Warisan

And another 30 minutes drives via beach road to Cherating.

We stayed at the same apartment, Samsuria Beach Resort. I wasn't sure whether the wet and rainy weeks or just the less-cleanliness that make the hotel bit sticky and less pleasant to stay.

Overall mostly are nice and fine.

Something you always need when you visiting east coast Malaysia,
I HATE THEIR SANDS FLIES
they are super small, almost couldn't see. Swarm on your skins without you realised.
And the next day I will have hot-itch all over my body which usually last about one week.
Nasty...!

We brought couple pieces of small cakes and presents.

Day-1
Lady Bugs Cupcake and candles to blow

Day-2
another cupcake, another candle and another birthday song.

After blowing candles, we went out to have walk on the beach to collect sea shell.
The weather was a bit friendly too...

Having lunch at Pak Su Seafood restaurant in Balok.
It was a great food, I love them and insist to take away the left over so we can have it for the next day lunch (ahaks....)

On the next day we just make a trip to IKEA to buy this children table.

She loves it a lot.
And now almost everyday we use it for meal, painting, playing, drawing, colouring.

In the afternoon the present from her Nanny just arrived far far away from the UK.
awww.... paddington book and paddington Bear.

Happy 2nd Birthday my dear...
Lot of works  and adventures awaiting ahead..

Nature Play in Taman Lembah Kiara TTDI Park

Another favorite place in Kuala Lumpur Area

I guess I found this treasure a bit late. We went to TTDI Park quite often as its on the way to my favorite Aunt (Auntie Manju's Banana Leaf) a must have meal on weekend.

But today we did't go to Auntie Manju, because it was too early to have full set of Banana Leaf. We just want simple roti and hot teh tarik.

Taman Lembah Kiara Park, TTDI Park, Taman Rimba Kiara TTDI whatever you name it, the GPS will show you the same area.

We just park the car, refill our bag with cold mineral water, couple cans of hundred plus, and soy milk, and walk a bit.
There are two kid's fave area. Before Play ground and after playground.
Before Playground is more rocky, the "RIVER"feeling is real. Lot of kids screaming and splashing.

But, because Marcella is not really used to walk on the river yet. And I got paranoid she will fall over and bang her head on those rocks. We decide to walk a bit further.
The stream is more shallow, more sands, and tots-friendly.

She just put her hands on, noticed there were plenty tadpole ran around in the stream.
We use KITCHEN SIEVE....
YES... THE ONE I USE TO SIEVE FLOUR...

I keep forgot to visit pet shop to pick some fish net for her.
Oh well, you don't need to be fancy to be happy ain't you? haha

Another catch attempt

Giving up, so Daddy help her to catch some.
And released them again because we didn't bring any container.

I catch....
hmmm dry grass
Haha
Nevermind

Plenty family having picnic nearby too...
Just beware with the naughty monkeys, they really love to steal your lunch bag.
Make sure you always keep an eye on them, and ALWAYS put your phone+car key+ wallet in your sling bag/pocket.

It's almost lunch hour we need to head off to have some lunch, groceries, and home.
All the way Marcella loves to pick "treasures" from dry leaves, grass, rocks and often sticks.

Today she insist to bring home her umbrella-leaves.
