Catching Fish and Picnic in TTDI Park

Craving for nature we said.

Sometimes I wonder is it only me of other people feel the same. I often feel suffocate when I stay indoor too long.
I feel stressed and its like giving me non necessary headache.

I must be weird...

Well anyway...

I decide to reduce the amount of my 2.4yo attending indoor playgroup and we do our own outdoor nature playgroup (well, just play...) as we don't have any group yet =p

Today we planning on catch tadpole in TTDI Park  however I didn't realised that tadpole is not living in stream. They live in ponds.

There are plenty baby fish instead...

Many mommies I've approached to join the play was moaning that the park has only one  playground.
The walk from parking lot to the river is far...
It hot
Lot of monkeys
Etc

Well...
I know, nature playground is not everybody's cup of tea.

I love TTDI Park because of the stream itself.
Forget about the man-made playground (where we can find everywhere.. Including in our housing complex anyway)

The park offer more and many activities.
The stream..
The different vegetation we might not see in our housing area.
The different kind of birds..
The sound..
The air.
And the quality of air.

We spend good three hours of catching fish,
Giving her snacks,
Collecting some yellow leaves and flowers.

Watching some birds

Taste some grass

Feed the turtles with our left over

Taking taxi back, for home

We soaking in sun rays and sweat.

Great happy day

We  keep some of our catch in small container

Picnic in Lake Garden

My friend Wiwin whom also Indonesian, living in Malaysia been initiated the picnic a while ago. And it's only my 2nd time I joined the picnic.

Picnic is the best option for us to meet up with friends we've been promising to playdate for so long but couldn't make it because we all are busy, or we have way too many friends to the point we can't schedule them.

I love the idea of picnic because its outdoor. Kids can runaround and breathing fresh air (instead of air-conditioning recycled air).

Lake garden is huge and lot of section, we can always go to different spot each weekend.
But we agreed that we use Dino Park with several reason.

The playground is big and sufficient, near by the main entrance, and lot of shade both in grass or pavement area.

Wiwin the organiser created some fun games for kids.

Shake the balls of your tissue box.

Eggs in a spoon race

Back to back apple race

Marcella just way too tired watching them, and she is more interested in eating the apples rather than using it in game.
Ain't you want door prize marcella?
Nawwh... I just want the apple.

We had lunch afterward,
Before our main surprise come... PIÑATA

it was a potluck, so everyone shared their meal.
I was haven't idea to make a end up with bringing pop corn (every other parent loot at me with evil eyes) how dare you...!!! Haha

Yes... I have to hide it till every kids finish their meal before I put the popcorn on the share blanket.

Marcella enjoy her lunch.
Fried noodle, pasta and fish cake.

Kids queue up for piñata.
And like usual Marcella refused to beat the pinata.
She said it will hurt the boy.

It was a great fun picnic.

Everyone who weren't fasting continue to enjoy the meal,
Before we heading home for afternoon nap.

It was great way to spend sometimes with your friends and their families.

Marcella's 2nd Birthday

My little Bunny turn two last week and (like usual we don't have any exciting plan about it)

Thanks to her Aunt, who insisted a trip to celebrate and to have something to remember.

Having 24 Months Old is a new things for me. She has lot of new skills which often amaze me.
She is now able to sit still and focus on something interest her (not gadget or device, I'm talking about something else).

1. Our friendship become much better, she seems understand our conversation better.
2. Learning about empathy toward other feeling better. She understand hurt, pity, sympathy better.
3. Hands on learning on daily chores and quite useful for me.

4. Still no sign of scissors and knife cutting skills (it will be much better in couple weeks).

Ice cream is her fave thing (one particular brand which made from coconut milk with purple yam flaavour)
Ais Potong Satu Malaysia

We drove to Cherating for one night stay because she has her appointment on Monday.
We stop at Telok Cempedak Beach, my all time favorite place to spend my weekend.

Lunch at Mee Tarik Warisan

And another 30 minutes drives via beach road to Cherating.

We stayed at the same apartment, Samsuria Beach Resort. I wasn't sure whether the wet and rainy weeks or just the less-cleanliness that make the hotel bit sticky and less pleasant to stay.

Overall mostly are nice and fine.

Something you always need when you visiting east coast Malaysia,
I HATE THEIR SANDS FLIES
they are super small, almost couldn't see. Swarm on your skins without you realised.
And the next day I will have hot-itch all over my body which usually last about one week.
Nasty...!

We brought couple pieces of small cakes and presents.

Day-1
Lady Bugs Cupcake and candles to blow

Day-2
another cupcake, another candle and another birthday song.

After blowing candles, we went out to have walk on the beach to collect sea shell.
The weather was a bit friendly too...

Having lunch at Pak Su Seafood restaurant in Balok.
It was a great food, I love them and insist to take away the left over so we can have it for the next day lunch (ahaks....)

On the next day we just make a trip to IKEA to buy this children table.

She loves it a lot.
And now almost everyday we use it for meal, painting, playing, drawing, colouring.

In the afternoon the present from her Nanny just arrived far far away from the UK.
awww.... paddington book and paddington Bear.

Happy 2nd Birthday my dear...
Lot of works  and adventures awaiting ahead..
