Healthy...?!?!?!

Dreaming of weight loss..
Slim..
Lean..
*anything you name it

Vietnamese Salad - pack of hamster food, Rabbit Food - and Sugar glider's
Been two days I forced myself to eat something like this

When I drool around watching this normal-human-food

Green Curry Chicken and Fried Egg

Really tried hard to tell myself that I had enough of those good food
and need to give my stomach a break a bit

at least for one week

Instead of feeling healthy  and proud of myself,
I keep dreaming about my old love
Warm-cheesy-melt Sheperd pie...

calming, shooting and relieving, Thai massage => no need
sleeping pills => no need.. cos I will sleep well after a good meal

or a big portion of rice, curry, mutton masala, papadum and cucumber raita spread on a very wide of banana leaf at least

There won't be a war in Syria if their people eat good food like this everyday

Probably the whole country tried to change their eating habits like me...
involved a lot of moodie day at home and office too for sure..

totally not easy lah.....

Emperor Chicken

Bored with posting about travel which is
"not far from just-like-that" post

I want to share a new menu I really like

Emperor Chicken is a modified of Beggar Chicken if I'm not mistaken,
with thousands herbs and spices to add around before finaly double wrap and steam for many hours.

this spices is HALAL, everybody no need to worry to give a try

thanks to spice package..
cut 90% of the headache

Mr bought this package from the grocery store and show me the incredible taste of emperor chicken.
I am forgetting to take a pic what inside but I can remember that so many berries, slices of herbs, root, and powdered-spices. Pigpig corner show some of the spices here

Mr add in some tofu-puff, dried beancurd, 3 kind of mushroom (straw mushroom, shitake and oyster).
Wrap together and steam for (I guess more than 2 hours)

The herbed-aromatic chicken just after out from the steamer,
It smells like a Chinese medicine shop

A nice tender herb-aromatic steamed chicken
Served nicely with fragrant bhasmati rice and stir fried kailan in oyster sauce

A good dinner and plenty left over to bring for lunch tomorrow :-)

Perhentian Island 2013: Tuna Bay Restaurant and Bar

One of the famous and expensive resort in Pulau Perhentian Besar

We walk and pass by to this restaurant many times,
Sometimes stop over for drinks and munch a snack too

We had some BBQ dinner that night to give a try the food again after an expensive chicken satay last year.

Beef Noodle which is way too so-so (no taste)
Grilled King Fish (the portion is too small)

French Fries (good)

The good thing about this place is the bar selling beer same price with every other shop.
They don't mark up the price just because they have a better restaurant or hotel.

Perhentian Island 2013: Turtle Bay

It cost us RM 20/pp/Way from Abdul Chalet to Turtle Bay
p.s: there is no taxi services there, so make sure to ask the boat to come and pick up at the certain time.

In a long bumpy trip

Turtle bay is an area where the Marine conservation doesn't allow people to build anything here.
This place is the beach where sea turtle lay their eggs at night.

The view..? Owh so stunning
The water..? much more clearer than any beaches around. We can see the sands for 20 meters
The sands...?  soft and nicer.. No broken coral around the beach

I feel like just want to camp there and not going back to the chalet

And we are alone

just like a private beach :)

Little Paradise just in the corner of the island :)

We back to the Chalet at 12:30 for lunch.
Definitely will go here again next time,
A little longer time

Healthy Lifestyle

My mind must be brainwashed by Herbalife people

They keep coming to me again and again,
Criticize the food I eat (the name of the food, the ingredient and the amount)

Especially the amount...
They said I ate too much more than what I need.
I ate food which triggers to bad moods
I ate food which makes my body older than my age

Its quite a nuisance,
But I keep thinking that they might be right.
Most of the time I stuff my mouth without thinking what actually these foods made from..
esp : Chili fries and Pringles.. Oh so damn good...

So...
I start doing this with my classmate Amy

I start doing yoga when my back pain is unbearable.
Mr keep telling me to join Yoga for my body and mind.
But I was too lazy and I keep thinking this bending and squatting exercise doesn't burn any calories,
and...   Peace the mind..? Hmm....

Regular prayer peace the mind, not yoga...!!
The feeling of close to God peace our mind, yet it only need 5-10 minutes each session compared with
Yoga which it can be up to 2 hrs on each class.

Anyway, I still register myself in yoga class.
And I really enjoy it.
In fact, I addicted to it.
Yoga eases my back pain, and give a lot of difference to it.
I sleep much better too.. Probably cos my body stretched well

The other thing I like from my yoga classes is I met and socialize with different people,
and learn about the right food to eat (Damn Herbalife people...)

So yes...
my mind washed and change into something like this

Eating this to replace my my nasi lemak and teh tarik
~ each morning ~

I should do this at least 5 days a week
And have a moderate feast on the weekend to treat myself

OK.. I will start doing..

and if they do this to me..

Perhentian Island 2013 : Abdul Chalet and Restaurant

Apologize with the crappy quality picture. Samsung galaxy doesn't give much option for me.
Abdul Chalet is located on the same line with Tuna bay,
Coconut and marine conservation officer in Pulau Perhentian Besar (Big).

We knew that the occupancy for August gona be super pack,
we decide to book it as early as possible.
Yes, we start to emailed the hotel soon we purchase the flight ticket.
Great we manage to get Deluxe Seaview for RM 215/night.

The good thing about this chalet is located exactly in front of the beach.
I can just chill in the porch and enjoy the breeze while
Others rush around the hunt for the best spot to lie down on the beach.

In the morning, I brought some bread to feed the fishes too

Water is only five steps too..
I can just run and dip my but as much as I like.
The room is quite fancy and big with air conditioning, nice floor,
nice wall and big shower room with water heater.

The thing about staying in a chalet with sunset view in Abdul Chalet is:
1. Afternoon Sun could be extremely too hot till the air conditioning couldn't cool the air down
2. Sunset view is always become favorites of everyone, where your quiet afternoon could be bit crowded and noisy.
3. The price is always higher than other views.
4. Housekeeping is not available for daily services, they will clean the room and change the towel during check-in/checkout.
5. The red color of the curtain makes the room even hotter. Doesn't help at all.

We were quite lucky because the water at the beach is very clean,
and coral reef with plenty fishes is just walking distance.

When other people need to take a boat just for a snorkeling trip,
I just need to walk and bring my mask.
Can start and stop anytime I like

This is how I enjoy most of my morning, afternoon and evening before dinner

The food in Abdul Chalet is not excellent, but not bad too..
It's a typical standard for restaurant food in Perhentian Island.
The coffee is way too sweet (just like other restaurant).
The price is quite acceptable (well, it's actually super cheap)

The restaurant doesn't sell alcohol, and not allow us to bring alcohol in public areas.
Usually we will ta-pau from cocohut and drink in out porch.
Some of the breakfast and lunch,
Tuna Sandwich and fries + Juice = RM 18.00
Toast and Mushroom Omelette = RM 8
Poached Egg and Toast = RM 6
Coffee tarik = RM 3
Malaysian Coffee (served in the pot) = RM 5

Malaysian coffee is way too thin, you can't taste the coffee in the drink.
Just black colored water.
Better to order individual coffee, and separate sugar so you can adjust the sweetness

Another corner of the resort is another good view.
There is a walkway which could be dangerously slippery
Love to walk here early in the morning or late afternoon.
The sun, the clear water, clean breeze and all the calmness of the quiet island.

You will feel like you need nothing in this life but this happiness

RM 30 pp include BBQ, Steam Rice, Jacket Potatoes, Free Flow of Salad.

Dinner in Abdul Restaurant is actually not bad at all,
Compared to Tuna Bay and Coconut, Abdul has the cheapest price of the BBQ.
But again,
Don't ever try or think to compare them with any BBQ in a five star hotel.
Of course they are different.

The bonus...
make sure you close the chalet door properly when you go out
or else..

gecko, crocky, lizard, mozy,
sugar glider, monkey, rabbit, iguana, orangutan, GODZILLA..
anything you could imagine living in the jungle can join you sleep tonight

A Good Package

A good package for another long weekend trip..
Affordable too

Ko Ado..?

From this

this one too

oopss... this

bit of this

and this fish again

Where are the colorful fishes..??
Na.. sorry
This tiger fish is way too aggressive.
Once we throw some food, their group will come and other fishes runaway scared..

So yes,
my bad cos I throw some food to attract them

Yes,
random website + anything left in the fridge + little bit grocery = good food

Some of the ingredients

Key Success Factor : A super talented chef... :-P

Please don't get me wrong,

Jamie Oliver 15 Min Curry

The effect of too much watching Asian Food Chanel

We got the idea of cooking vegetarian curry from the Jamie Oliver cooking show in Asian Food Channel where he taught us how to cook in 15 minutes.

Seems simple, easy to follow and look good.
We re-search the cooking idea which actually we can find it on YouTube and his website

Pretty on serving table

Well,
Not really 15 minutes cooking but still...
Very less effort beside of slicing and dicing

The rest is just thrown and stir.

light and easy to eat

We change the coconut milk with low fat milk to reduce the grease

microwaved papadum, minty yoghurt and steam rica

It's good, simple and healthy with a lot of protein from milk and chickpeas.
Definitely worth for a weeknight dinner cooking list.
