Signature Dishes : Tempe Goreng

food for the homesick..

one of the thousand childhood lunch menu my mom feed me.

nothing special, but it is very special..

chicken soup with plenty vegetable inside

love the light broth, totally not greasy.

we use only chicken meat, no skin-no fat-no any funny part,

water, garlic, salt, pepper and a lot lot lot of celery stalks.

very light broth.

no bloated or greasy feeling after eat (different with sup tulang, we had in restaurant)

and fried tempe.. 

a cheap protein resources for us who can't afford to buy red meat everyday (sadly, tempe is very expensive in Malaysia, sigh.....!!!!)

My mom always said, if you eat tempe a lot on your life time you need no Botox Injection,

what inside of tempe are same chemical we found in botox.

keep us young..

well, I don't really believe with what my mom keep promote to us, but still I eat tempe a lot,

because it taste great, filling up, and remind me with my family in Indonesia.

end up with I leave them roaming around themselves because I was too busy in my school

we born almost the same time, so we have same star sign .

Grilled Tofu

After a long time I do not touch kitchen..

finally I did...

Been couple months I didn't touch my kitchen for proper cooking, except cup noddle and coffee.

School has ruin my cooking mood. I always think, with cooking I've waste my time where I can use it to

do some report or read some study case.

But today I tried to make my brain "relax" and cook something to eat.

Even-though just a very simple dishes, grilled tofu with shredded carrot for my lunch.

served with sweet soy sauced mixed with chili powder.

yumm..? Not really...

I would rather choose nasi lemak + teh tarik for my breakfast,

or mixed grilled with poached egg and half frozen beer for lunch,

or plain cucumber sandwich, cheese and crackers with red wine for afternoon tea (yes, red wine for afternoon tea.. ha ha ha ha #NOT FUNNY...)

with excuse "I want to eat healthier food" makes me eat this sad food..

hopefully I can back to slim after I eat it...

I made this thankful tree to make me remember what a good things been happen in 2011.

Big or small, nice moment is always worth to memorize. To make us keep remember that after everything happen, after everything we gone trough,we can say...

Morning :
awake naked under too cold air-conditioning after laugh..laugh..and laugh... drink.. drink.. and drink...
sing.. and sing.. and sing...

I feel my body full of pain + I lost my voice..!!
AHA..!! another excuse to not going to work ontime..!!!!


noon :
yes, I came to work with jeans
and I am sick
I lost my voice
went to clinic, and I got a pile of funny medicine makes me high, half drunk and deaf..

my boss get sick with me,
and asked my to go home

YAIY... I went home....!!!

afternoon :
went home, and slept till the next day..

I celebrate my 11.11.11 with my cold and flu pills,
at home..
in my bed with my laptop.
Not even with Mr Chewbacca

2011 almost gone,
very soon..

less than 60 days.

I still remember how this year begin. Start from the bottom of the crap turn into full of miracle

I have my awesome 28th Birthday

February
I have the most exciting trip during Chinese New Year holiday,
Langkawi - Satun - Hatyai - Krabi - Phuket,
back and forth by land.


March
I went back to Indonesia, meet my family (again)
Visiting Simon in Pekanbaru, Indonesia
Catch up with my college friends. Talk about many things in the past.

April
Intan visit me in KL,
we hang around and have wonderful time making great photoshoot in deer park and bird park
Formula 1 in Kuala Lumpur


May
I have mom and 'lil sister visit me in Kuala Lumpur
I back to Indonesia for party,
I met the most amazing person in my life..


June
I move to a new condo,
more civilized people. No foreign worker roaming for free,
and no more washing-machine size of swimming pool
I have Langkawi weekend trip (awesome)


July
I joined IELTS school in ELS (make me bankrupt all of the sudden)
Attend Ibra's farewell before he back to his country.


August
I have my IELTS test
I got my IELTS result in awesome score
I went to Singapore to catch up with Lynn
I got most  of my schoolbooks back to my hand AWESOME

School registration,
I Have Penang weekend trip
My first day at school...
I join back to my MBA


October
Awesome trip to Vung Tau, Vietnam
Sad moto-GP crashed in Sepang Circuit
and I have every single day thankful to God and everybody behind the scene to
keep my life full of meaning

November
Hari Raya Kurban, I got plenty off day in Malaysia.
I stay at home, do my school work and will catch up with Marissa for movie this afternoon

and lot lot lot lot of wonderful time will recorded...

of course, there are plenty Airasia ticket which is unutilized, and just burn like that...
Myanmar trip, Aceh trip, Brunei trip, Pekanbaru 2nd batch, and trip to balik kampong..... GONE

and of course for the whole year, not 365 days full of happiness, some are sad, bitchy, jealous, angry and upset...


but it's ok,
I thankful for every little sweet bits I gather back in my life

drink half frozen San Miguel..

super spicy crab and Tanduay...
